A woman has realised we have all been eating bombay mix wrong after she was given advice on social media. Grace, who posts on TikTok as @gracebooth97, declared her love for the snack on the platform before being told she was eating it wrong.
The 28-year-old says she is 'obsessed' with the snack mix due to its salty and sweet combination that leaves her wanting more. Available in most supermarkets, bombay mix is an Indian snack mix which includes a mixture of spicy dried ingredients including sev, fried lentils, peanuts, chickpeas, puffed rice, fried onion, raisins and curry leaves.
Grace said: "It appears I've been eating bombay mix wrong my whole entire life. I did a sort of pledge to how much I flipping love bombay mix, but it's only hit me in my ripe old age of about 28... I am obsessed with it.

"It's delectable, delicious, salty, a little bit sweet from the raisins. Stunning, absolutely stunning.
"But apparently I have been eating it wrong. And my sincerest apologies, I feel as stupid as the Celebrity Traitors right now.
"But anyway, apparently you're supposed to have it with the lime and coriander, I would ever have thought to have done this.
"So I'm going to try it today, because I don't know how I feel about making it wet. I don't know how I feel. I'm just going to shove it in my gob."
After taking her first bite of the bombay mix, Grace's face immediately changed with a look of complete shock.
She said: "Wow, this is a whole different thing. This is a whole different snack. There are so many layers, what the heck?
"Oh, yeah. Bombay Mix is so hard to eat, you kind of need a spoon. Why have I never eaten it with a spoon before?
"It's like cereal, like a savoury cereal isn't it? I feel like there is a world out here that I haven't uncovered.
"This has completely opened my eyes up to the world of bombay mix. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Although, I do think you have to eat it quickly because it's kind of already going soggy.
"Zesty, salty, aromatic, delicious, no notes."
After sharing her video on Tiktok, Grace received hundreds of comments from people who wanted to give the snack a try. One persons said: "Hahaha. This was funny and looks yum."
A second Tiktok user added: "Intriguing! Also Bombay mix on toast has long my go to hangover cure."
Others were quick to share their way of eating bombay mix by giving Grace further ideas and tips for the next time she had a snack.
A third user said: "Try adding Lime, coriander, white onions finely chopped and green chilli too. Also you need a bigger bowl of the Bombay mix"
Another added: "I don't buy the mix of Bombay as every time I do I get hooked in an obsessive cycle."
A fifth penned: "Add diced tomato and onion and some mustard oil as well, and you won't wanna go back to eating plain bombay mix again."
